At Arnold Academy we use tests by GL Assessment in order to benchmark students but also measure progress across time. In Year 5 we carry out an entry test to help us improve our knowledge of the new cohort entering the school. This information guides any further support and intervention. Scores are shared with parents. 

During Year 7 and 8 we use the progress tests in order to establish progress made in core subjects (English, Maths and Science) against the national average.
